They are producing flame-retardant T-shirts using our company's Protex cotton blend MVS yarn and Shima Seiki's whole garment machines.
I found a YouTube video showing the process from yarn to finished T-shirt, so I'm sharing it here.
I had never seen this process in person before, so it was very educational for me.

Our customer, Akada Brush Industry Co., Ltd., will be exhibiting at the "Tokai/Hokuriku Good Potato Exhibition" on the 10th floor of JR Nagoya Takashimaya from September 4th (Thu) to 9th (Tue).

]]>Recently, the Workplace Environment Exhibition (Japan version of A+A) was held at Intex Osaka, and Kaneka Corporation was exhibiting.
The exhibit featured their new raw cotton, 'Protex-F,' which uses a new flame retardant.
It is antimony (element symbol Sb) free and environmentally friendly.
It has obtained Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Annex 6 certification.
Protex-F has an LOI (Limited Oxygen Index) of approximately 40, and is said to produce less smoke.
The artificial turf laid out in the exhibition hall was made of GP (Green Planet).
The 'F' in Protex-F stands for Future, so we at our company would also like to try various spinning techniques for the future.

Simply put, woolen yarn is a yarn with a voluminous texture similar to woolen yarn.
Basically, it's one method of spinning wool, and woolen yarn is made by spinning short fibers without aligning their direction as much as possible.
When the fibers are long and their direction is carefully aligned, it's called worsted yarn.
Woolen yarn is further divided into two types at the final spinning stage: ring spinning and mule spinning.
The mule spinning machine was invented first, and the ring spinning machine was invented later to improve production efficiency.
Ring spinning often uses synthetic fibers or cotton as raw materials, and yarn for work gloves, for example, is basically produced using ring spinning.
On the other hand, mule spinning, although less efficient, has a better texture and a softer finish. Therefore, when spinning high-quality fibers with short fiber lengths, such as cashmere, mules are often used. We were able to film the mule spinning process, and we are specially releasing it to you.

Today, we'd like to introduce OJO+ paper yarn from Oji Fiber.
Paper yarn, which is increasingly seen in products like socks, is a special yarn produced by twisting tape-cut paper.
Many paper yarns are often combined with cotton or rayon due to their strength and handling difficulties, but OJO+ is 100% paper yarn.
Of course, it's possible to create fabric using 100% of this yarn.
With a wide range of yarn counts available, it's easy to blend with various other fibers depending on the application.
While paper yarn is often associated with summer due to its lightweight, breathable, and smooth feel, its porous nature allows it to easily trap air and has low thermal conductivity, making it suitable for winter fabrics depending on the fabric structure.

Currently, our company spins and sells collagen fibers as yarn, but we are currently developing a brush using collagen TOW (fiber bundles).
As you can see, we have managed to create a preliminary shape, but we are facing various challenges, and it will likely take some time before we can sell it as a product.

Today, I'd like to introduce the anti-mold performance of Kanekalon.
The Kanekalon and Kanegote products that we handle actually have anti-mold properties.
In the ASTM G21 anti-mold performance test, the results showed no mold growth, the highest level of Class 0 out of 5.
When the same test was conducted with wool, the result was the lowest level, Class 4, showing over 60% growth.
While we have only recently acquired detailed information on this, we believe this is the best function for the following face brushes that are used wet.

As I mentioned in a previous article, the Kanegato brush you're using has high chemical resistance, so it can't be thinned by dissolving it with chemicals.
Therefore, as you can see from around 5 minutes and 30 seconds into the video, the tip is carefully thinned using a tip-sharpening machine.
This is probably the only way to further improve the feel of the soft Kanegato brush by sharpening its tip.
