Mule Woolen Yarn

This time, we'd like to introduce woolen yarn.

Simply put, woolen yarn is a yarn with a voluminous texture similar to woolen yarn.

Basically, it's one method of spinning wool, and woolen yarn is made by spinning short fibers without aligning their direction as much as possible.

When the fibers are long and their direction is carefully aligned, it's called worsted yarn.

Woolen yarn is further divided into two types at the final spinning stage: ring spinning and mule spinning.

The mule spinning machine was invented first, and the ring spinning machine was invented later to improve production efficiency.

Ring spinning often uses synthetic fibers or cotton as raw materials, and yarn for work gloves, for example, is basically produced using ring spinning.

On the other hand, mule spinning, although less efficient, has a better texture and a softer finish. Therefore, when spinning high-quality fibers with short fiber lengths, such as cashmere, mules are often used. We were able to film the mule spinning process, and we are specially releasing it to you.
